“I have the opportunity to show that as a minority I have the capacity to succeed. During my junior year, I felt like I was finally at that place. I was working so hard in school to get the best grades possible that I made it to the top ten percent of my graduating class. To be student means you have that thirst for knowledge that will allow you to reach your goals and one day obtain success.”

  1. I really connected to when you said that you worked to get the best grades possible. It made me think about how I myself am on that path to get the best grades possible for myself. It makes me understand how much time and effort it is taking to reach the goals we both have to get the success we are striving for. I really loved it when you said, “To be student means you have that thirst for knowledge.” Most students do not have that thirst for knowledge that you say a student should.
